What is OCC?

Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is a project of Samaritan’s Purse which provides shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies to reach children across the world with God’s love.

How can I help with OCC?

  • First and foremost – pray for the ministry, for those involved in the ministry, and for the children and their families who will receive the shoeboxes.

  • Buy items and build your own shoebox(es) at home using a shoebox or other similar container having the approximate same size and shape. Click here for ideas on what to pack.  Then bring your packed shoebox(es) to the church.

  • Purchase and donate items that will be good to put in the shoeboxes that Calvary Church will pack. School supplies, hygiene items (non-liquids), small, durable quality toys, and clothing items are always needed. Items can be placed in the OCC collection box at Calvary Church.

  • Calvary has a bulletin-board at the church with needed items you may purchase and donate.

  • You may make items to donate. Many in our congregation have sewn and crocheted items, made fishing kits, and other similar items that have been useful to pack in shoeboxes.

  • You may make a cash donation to Calvary church to help with shipping costs for the boxes ($9 per box) or so that others may purchase needed items.

  • You may help pack shoeboxes. Calvary Church will have a packing party on November 14, 2020 from 9 am to noon.
