Trip Report:

South Sugarloaf May 20, 2007

by Bill Andrews

We had a good time Sunday, May 20 with 8 rigs on the trail, including John's newly lifted "Land Yacht" (Suburban). The Land Yacht performed well and John is quite pleased with the lift. Now he just has to get the 33's on it so it won't look quite so funny.

We gave Eric a chance to play with his new winch when we had to remove a fallen tree from the trail. Of course the trail dead-ended only a couple hundred yards later but it was fun to play with the winch anyway.

We found the remains of what appeared to be a late 50"s Studabaker as well as some old mining remnants and the world's largest mushroom. It was a fun, relaxing day. We didn't, however, come out where I expected to so there is more to those trails than what we traversed, might need to take another Sunday Drive up there later in the summer to find the rest.[Trip Pics]
