Calvary 4-Wheelers officially opened our 2007 'wheeling season today. The crew ended up being Me (moderately modded XJ), my wife Missy (in her stock Suzuki Sidekick), Ken (mildly modded WJ), and Eric (stock Tacoma w/ TRD package). Gary and Terry Hanson showed up to try out Terry's "new" CJ-5 (stock) and James W. (moderately modded XJ) put in an appearance after a winter-long disappearing act. We also picked up newcomer, Jim (I forgot his last name) who's friends ditched him to run Carnage so we let him tag along in his moderately modded ZJ.
We ended up going back to Left Hand Canyon as Switzerland Trail was still covered with large snow drifts. I got stuck just turning around at the trail head. It looked like Carnage was getting a lot of traffic. We went up the easier Left Hand side taking time for myself and James to play on the obstacle at the foot of Big Mother Hill, then proceeding up to 5-Points where we had lunch.
After lunch we went back down to 836C (the upper end of Big Mother Hill) and headed up. Missy needed a strap to make it up the steep, loose, rutted hill but we got everybody to the top. We then took the treacherous and exciting decent down Big Mother Hill without incident before going back to the trail head to pose on our favorite posing rock.
